Type of cooling water for laser cutting & Laser welding? How often should we change the cooling water?

Cooling water is preferably distilled or deionized water. Mineral water is not as good as distilled water. Distilled water has no impurities and no electrolytes, which is good for chillers.

When changing the water every time, we need to pay attention to emptying the cooling water in the water tank before adding new cooling water

If the distilled water and filter element are not replaced on time, the water path of the chiller will be blocked, which will affect the normal operation of the equipment and affect the service life of the equipment

In general, the replacement of the cooling water of the laser cutting chiller can be determined according to the following operating environment and water quality:

1. Change the water every six months in a high-quality environment. In a high-quality environment, such as a laboratory or an independent air-conditioned room, the circulating water of the chiller can be changed every six months or a year.

2. In a low-quality environment, change the water once a month to one and a half months. If the environment is harsh, such as when used as a cooling machine for woodworking engraving machines, it is easy to be polluted by the external environment. It is recommended to change the water once a month to one and a half months. Or add anti-scaling agent to reduce scale generation and prevent waterway blockage.

• Under normal circumstances, the circulating water of the laser chiller is generally changed once every three months. However, it is also necessary to regularly remove and wash the dust filter and clean the dust on the condenser of the chiller to ensure better operation of the equipment

For fiber laser cutting machines, water cooling in summer is important, excessive temperature will seriously affect the use of equipment. In the same way, in winter, since the temperature is usually very low, if the water-cooled equipment does not add antifreeze, it will affect normal use. 1. Antifreeze ethylene glycol (also known as glycol) can be purchased in local hardware and chemical stores, and also online, but there are restrictions on liquid transportation.

2. The ratio with deionized water is about 30%-50% (70% water, 30% ethylene glycol).
